This is not an official website of the New Democratic Party of Canada. The NDP Renewal Initiative was founded by activists and is powered entirely by volunteers.

NDP Renewal is an initiative by NDP members, for NDP members and supporters.

The NDP Renewal Initiative was founded to engage and encourage Canadians to join the NDP, get involved with their local NDP Associations, and participate in the renewal and rebuilding of our Party. 

The Party is conducting a modest Review Process which will complete its final report in November.

How is this different?

Inspired by the Renewal Committee Report to the 1995 Federal Convention, our plan is to engage NDP members from coast to coast to coast in a comprehensive renewal of our Party. We want to provoke a vigorous debate on our structures, our policy and our next platform, and provoke ideas and discussion on how to renew our Party from the ground up.

Our goal is to table our Renewal Report and recommendations in the form of resolutions to the March 2026 Federal NDP Convention in Winnipeg.

NDP Renewal does not support or oppose any candidate for the leadership of the New Democratic Party of Canada, and encourages all NDP members to get actively involved in the leadership campaign of their choice.  

The NDP belongs to all of us. Together, we can renew and rebuild.
